TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTING AT IKARIA RENT A CAR
RENTAL AGREEMENT
With this present agreement, the Lessor Company (licensee, operating under the brand <> for its benefit and purposes) rents to the <> the vehicle, as described herein (including any replacement vehicle), under the following terms and conditions, as well as those included on the front side of this agreement, which the Renter fully, expressly, and unreservedly accepts.
DRIVER’S AGE
The minimum age is 23 years for all vehicle categories. If the renter does not meet the specified age requirements, additional charges apply. The Lessor reserves the right to cancel the reservation and refuse to deliver the vehicle to the renter if a staff member deems that both the vehicle and the renter may be at risk.
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
(a). A valid driving license issued at least one (1) year prior is required. If the renter’s driving license is not issued by an EU member state, an international driving permit must be presented upon pickup. (b). A valid passport or ID. Driving licenses can not be used for identification purposes. Pictures or digital documents are not accepted. (c). A valid credit/debit card under the main driver’s name.
EXCESS/DEPOSIT
Upon acceptance, an advance payment of estimated charges is required from the main driver at the start of the rental, depending on the vehicle category, with a minimum of 500 euros. The deposit can only be paid by debit or credit cards. Cash, prepaid cards, virtual cards, and bank transfers are not accepted for deposits. The renter agrees and acknowledges the Lessor’s right to withhold the deposit or part of it in case of damages, without the renter’s presence at the rental office. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition it was rented, subject to any applicable charges.

PAYMENT METHODS
Accepted forms of payment include cash, debit cards, credit cards. The maximum amount that can be paid in cash is 499.99 euros, as defined by Greek law 3842/2010.
DELIVERY AND RETURN
Pickup and Drop off:
The Renter may pick up, or the Company can deliver the rental vehicle to any
location on the island, including:
No additional charges apply if the vehicle is picked up or returned at our office, Evdilos Port, or nearby locations.

The car must be returned before noon on the rental expiration date. A 10 euros charge per hour will be applied after the drop-off time of 12 PM.
The Renter has received a vehicle, which they have inspected and found to be in excellent condition, suitable for the purpose for which it is rented. The Renter is obligated to return the vehicle, along with all documents, tools, and received, at the location and on the date specified in the agreement.
INSURANCE POLICY
The Renter is obligated to compensate the Lessor in case of theft, loss, or damage to the vehicle, as well as to any person (including additional registered drivers), and to cover all losses and damages incurred by the Lessor.
The Renter is responsible for all damages they have caused to the vehicle or others, in case they have violated the terms of use of the vehicle or driven in an illegal manner or in violation of the Greek Driving Code. The Renter may further accept the Full coverage insurance of 25 euros/day.
The full coverage insurance does not include:
Windows, tires, rims, interior, keys, and the underneath parts of the car. The renter is 100% responsible for any damages to these items.
VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS
100% responsible for all costs of recovering it. A local map provided by the
Company will indicate where the vehicle cannot be driven.
TERMS OF USE
The Renter is obligated to take care of the vehicle, maintain it in good condition, and generally act prudently. Any repair of the vehicle by the Renter or any other person is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Lessor. The vehicle must not be used:
a.For transporting people for hire or payment. b. For towing vehicles, trailers, or other objects. c. For participation in races or competitions. d. For subleasing to third parties by the Renter. e. For purposes contrary to Greek legislation. f. While the Renter or the additional driver is under the influence of alcohol, hallucinogens, narcotics, barbiturates, or other substances that impair their consciousness or ability to react. g. In violation of any customs, traffic, or other regulations. h. By any third party, other than the Renter and any additional drivers for whom the Renter has accepted the applicable charge for additional drivers, as defined in the official price list of the Lessor. i. For transporting heavy items, flammable materials, foul-smelling goods, or narcotics. j. For engaging in illegal transport or committing any unlawful acts. k. For trips outside of Greece without the prior written consent of the Lessor.
EXTENSION OF RENTAL PERIOD
If the Renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must notify the Lessor in writing or verbally at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the expiration of the rental period to obtain the corresponding written or verbal approval. If the Renter fails to do so, they will be held civilly and criminally liable for the illegal use and possession of the vehicle.
INDEMNITY
The Renter explicitly agrees that the Lessor bears no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by the Renter or third parties during the rental period, and no claim can be made against the Lessor for the aforementioned reason.
ACCIDENTS
In the event of an accident or any other incident (fire, theft, etc.), the Renter or any additional drivers are obligated to: 1. Contact the Lessor immediately. 2. Record the details of the involved parties. 3. Notify the police as well as the accident care service (for both parties) for investigation and documentation. 4. Photograph any damages to the Lessor’s vehicle and the vehicles involved in the accident.
THEFT/LOSS
In the event of theft or loss of the vehicle, the Renter must report the incident in writing to the nearest police station within 24 hours. In the case of theft or loss of the vehicle, the Renter and/or any additional drivers must be in possession of the vehicle’s keys. Otherwise, no waiver will apply, and the Renter will be deemed fully responsible for the loss due to negligence.
JURISDICTION
This agreement is governed by Greek law, and any disputes between the Lessor and the Renter arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located at the Lessor’s registered office.
